    Probelm restoring 2000sp1 to 2000 not sp1

    has anyone had a problem restoring a SQL 2000 without sp1 to a SQL 2000 sp1 box or vice versa? I have had 2 failures telling me to call MS support in the message?

    I haven't had any problems Tim. I've gone from non-Sp1 to Sp1, but never back the other way. The SP1 readmes were pretty adamant about making sure that you backed us the system databases(Model/Master/MSDB), maybe this is why? You might want to take a look at the readmes for SP1, there may be some info there that can help you.
