Smile Can Oracle ASM Partitions Be On Boot Disk?

I'm new to Oracle ASM and have a question.

If I create Oracle ASM partitions on a basic disk that already contains the Dell Utility Partition (FAT) and System Partition (C: NTFS, boot partition?) on Windows 2000, will the subsequent ASM "automatic disk mounting" and ASM "disk header writing/labelling" cause any trouble to the system/booting?
I ask the question because the physical disk also hosts the system C:.

    Yes.

Yes, we can. I created another two new partitions on the same physical disk that also hosts the System (boot) partition, and then successfully used the two partitions for ASM databases without causing any problem to the server.

    Thanks your any way.
