How to load some tables/views to memory?
This is a SQL2000 sp4 Ent. machine.
I was heard that loading certain tables/views (the most frequently used ones) could help in performance.
How could i do that?
thanks

Sql loads them to data cache when you query them.

If you are referring to pinning table in memory, you can run
DBCC PINTABLE ( database_id , table_id )
If the table you are pinning is big then you may run into memory problems.
This command is removed from SQL server 2005.

So, it is not a good practise from SQL2005, since SQL2005 has been disabled this function.
But it is availabe in SQL2000, how could I increased the buffer cache memory, ex, to 1 gb in order to pin a table with 200 mb size?
thanks for your help.

Add more physical memory.
