    SQL Agent mail profile on cluster fail over

    I have sql 2000 sp4 running on a cluster, we had to fail over to other cluster, and now the sql agent choice to use a mail profile is grayed out. I can go to sql mail and test the profile and it works, but I can't change it for the sql agent? Anyone seen this before

    It never work properly on my clusters, so I stopped using sql mail on cluster.

    Found out when they failed over last week, for some reason, one of the network guys thought setting the sql server agent to a local account was a good idea. Changed it to sqlexec account and now it works fine

    SQL Mail is not a cluster aware application so it does not fail over when SQL Server fails over.
