Flickering Labels

OK - this has been driving me crazy for some time and I can't figure out why it is happening.

I have a form with a tabbed section in the detail. For some reason whenever my mouse goes over a label on any of those tabs - the whole thing flickers - all of the labels flicker. I have searched the code (I inherited this lovely beast from someone who had no clue) and there is nothing on the Mouse Over event or anything like that. I can't find anything - but now my users are starting to complain (they will find any excuse not to do this work). It's not holding up functionality or anything - just very annoying - the whole screen seems like it is flickering.

Any ideas?

Just a few shot-in-the-dark questions.
Is this a normal Access tab control or an .ocx tab control?
Is there anything in any of the form's VBA about MouseMove, MouseOver, etc?
Are there any .ocx controls on the form?
I sure don't have any ideas about answers, just those questions. My hope is that these weird questions just might spark a useful thought in someone's head.
