Transfer information from an access database to MySQl database

I am new to working with databases. What I need to do is to transfer information from an old system that has been ran through access on a local server inside an office to a new system that is built in MySQL and his hosted by Godaddy.com. Does any body have any suggestions on how to complete this task.

    -Thank You

    Lightbulb Front End?

What do you plan to use as your front end on your database?

I have done just this and was able to keep access as the front end with all the data on a MySQL backend and would be very willing to assist you. I am also writing a new PHP based front end for a modified version of the backend.

For speed and ease of access are all your users accessing it from a central location? It may be good to host the main MySQL server onsite, with regular offsite backups scheduled.

    transfer

    Hello,

I am sorry for the late response.
The access system is a system based in the office where I work. The new system is a web based system and will be viewed as a web page. The system is currently set up with php on the front end.

Also the old system has less fields then the new system.

    Thanks
