    Dts job failure troubleshooting step

    I am having one DTS job failed but it has not written much in the history. i wont to know the exact cause of the failure.
    please help..

    You can enable package logging that will give you details.

    Along with enabling package logging you can add output file in a job.
    Job failure message comes from sysjobhitory and it keeps only 256 characters...you may miss useful info specailly when dts fails...
