    Upgrade to sql2000

    Hi,
    I am planning to upgrade my sql7.0 with sp2 to sql2000. Pls anyone give me the steps i need to consider and give me some suggestions.

    Upgrade to sql2000 (reply)

    The upgrade is very smooth, you can do it by detaching and re-attaching a SQL7 to SQL2K server (Great for testing), by doing a restore, or just simply upgrading. Some things that I know to look out for are:

    1. Do NOT open a sql7 DTS with 2K tools. Even a comment in a task will make it a 2000 job.
    2. Replication scripts have been moved to the Replication folder, nothing bad, just know that they've moved.
