We are getting Lot of messages in eventlog "SQLCTR60 : dbsqlsend failed, event id 5". We are using sqlserver 6.5 SP 5a with trusted connection with
named pipes. This production box uses the same settings from last 2 years with
out any problems, but, the problem started from last 2 weeks. No changes made to server. Thanks for the help.

This DLL is used by softwares like Perfom or other statistical or "spy tools" when they want figures from SqlServer 6.5.
Check precisely the eventlog application and security to find who try to be connected without the regular Trust.

Hi,

Yes As Patrick told. Somebody is trying to run the performance monitor from
workstation (remote or local). We faced the same problem . We send a global email to everyone and we didn't had this problem after that.
