    Sorry, I'm new to this forum and to the world of forums in general. Is there a way of sending personal message's to other members or friends even?

    Not immediately, but after you have made a few posts to the forum, then yes. However we do not favor technical questions being asked by a private message, and the other party probably will not answer them. They need to be posted on the forum, where everybody may see and benefit from them.
