    Question Excel 2003 row limitation

    Hello Sir,

Please help. I have a attribute of 240,000 members. I use Excel 2003 as client to access the cube. In excel when the attribute is selected it displays only the All member. On attempt to list the members it crashes Excel.
What is the way round this please? Should I limit the no of members in the Attribute to less than 65,000 or what
other option(s) are opened to me. What do you recommend.

    Thanks for your kind effrots.

    Regards

    Options ...

You can limit the extract to less than 65,000, or you can use a macro, etc., to pull in the first group <65,000, then to create another tab in Excel, then to populate the next increment under the limitation, and so on until the query dataset is captured. I've seen this done a number of ways, including via Excel, SSIS, a VB routine, etc.

    Good Luck.

    Thanks.

I have migrated to Excel 2007 so the limitation has been removed.

    Regards and thanks

    Thanks for Getting Back!

Thanks for getting back and letting us know ... You'll be much happier with Excel 2007, if only for this consideration alone ...
