    Question Why access is not used?

    Hi

    I want to know why access is not used with server side languages link PHP etc.

    To use Access you meed to be on a Windows server. Most developer use ASP/ASP.net if they have a Windows server.Windows.

    PHP can run on a Windows Server using IIS. PHP can be used with the JET engine to read an MDB.


    PHP is very popular on non Windows/IIS machines, like a Linix/Apache servers, which can not use the JET engine.
