    cannot connect server

    i m connecting server by using ssmse.I got following error.
    Login failed for user 'simon-PC\simon'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18456)

    i dont know how to fix.
    any help would be appreciated.

    Do you use windows authentication? Did you add that account as sql login yet?

    login to the sql server using SA login and then add simon-PC\simon as a login and assign a role to the database.

    if the login needs to be an SA then add the login with sysadmin role
