    Finding a Record

    In my production plan data base i have part number, description and lot number. The problem i have is with the lot number. Example 060705

    06 Month
    07 Year
    05 Production Runs in 2007


    On entering a new production order i need to know what the last lot number was. Is there a way to get this automatically??

    How often do you add a new production order? Please provide some sample data. I personnaly have data like this in the format YYYYMM(next number) e.g. 200701001,200701002. For projects that are base on year I use YYYY+nextnumber e.g. 2007001,2007002,2007003 etc.
