    SQL Install: Best on VM or Tin Server?

    We are having problems with SQL performance running SQL on a VM box which is well specked.
    What are your opinions on which way to go? Should we have installed the SQL server on a Physical Server?

    I never put production sql server on VM because of limited system resource.

    I dont know which VM you are using GSX or ESX or Virtual server...

    You can use VM on production for the servers which utilizes low resource like certification server. For production always use physical server.

    Usually VM are used for testing and QA. example QA PDC, sql server etc.
