Login to Oracle management server failed

    Hi,

I have a oracle92 enterprise version on my xp laptop. laptop name: sv1
    global database name: abc.corporate
    SID: abc
    company website: ppp.com

I launched Enterprise Manager console and select Login to Oracle management server
    Administrator: sysman
    Password: oem_temp
    Management server: sv1.ppp.com

when I click OK, I got 'unable to resolve hostname "sv1.ppp.com" '

    I changed sv1.ppp.com to sv1,then I got 'the exception(oracle.sysman/emSDK.client.omsClient.ClientException) occurred'

What I should I put on Management server?

    Any idea?

    Theresa

Are you at home or at work? Where/what is ppp.com in relation to your computer? The domain to which it belongs? Or the company you work for, of which your computer has no idea about?

ppp.com is not a true name since I don't want to show my company's name. I work at the corporate office. The network domain name is corporate.
