    i want to learn sql throughly please help me out how to start it on the web.

    I did a search on the net for "oracle sql tutorial" and got quite a few good hits. I would start there and see who has an on-line free tutorial.

    It really doesn't need to be Oracle.

    You might also think about downloading a Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2 and load it up on your computer. These vendors do not care if you use their database engine for educating yourself and will not charge you for using it.
