moving db servers to new domain -- mirror question

As part of the database properties for our existing DB mirrors the server names include the domain name (eg., servername.domain.xxx.xxx). When we move the servers to a new domain is there a way to regconfigure the existing mirrors to point to the new domain without starting over fresh?

    sys.database_mirroring

would it be possible to pause the mirrors and update whatever fields makeup the sys.database_mirroring view? if so, how would i find out what table/field are part of said view? i can't simply right click on it and choose script view as.... not an option.

Not sure if let you do that, are domains trusted? Morroring may fail if not, need certificate in that case.

Mirroring the site does seem like an iffy prospect at best. Wouldn't the database end up broken in all likelihood?
