    Login Failed Error ?

    Hi,

    When I try to connect to the SQL Server from the Enterprise Manager, It gives an error like
    "A Connection cannot be established"
    Reason: Login failed, Please verify your SQL server running etc.

    I see from the service manager that my SQL server is running and I use the windows authotication while trying to connect the server because i set windows authatication login during installation.

    I'm using Win Xp Pro and Sql Server 2000 Personal Edition.

    Sorry for my basic question but i cannot handle it

    Did you add your windows account as sql login in sql server yet?

    Or if you have to be a local admin in sql server box assuming you have not dropped builtin\administrators group.
