    Unhappy Log Shipping / MS Access Communication Link Failure

    We are currently using log shipping for our report environment and our user community is beginning to use MS Access to run queries against said environment. During the Restore process of Log Shipping the database changes to Single-User mode and subsequently breaks all active MS Access connections. Not a big deal in query analyzer; however in MS Access the user is forced to close down the application and re-open. Is there a work around setting in MS Access that will allow a user to simply refresh or re-connect without closing the application?

    Possible to use replication to sync db for reporting?

    too much overhead with replication.
