Swynk, I have a problem...

There is an application that is causing some blocking. I can't KILL the process, so I had to stop and start the SQL(6.5) service. No other processes are blocked, so it is that application.

Can I set a timeout, so the process ends, to prevent the restart? There are two timeouts: remote query timeout and resource timeout, can someone explain real-world use of these settings? And can I use them in my situation? Any help is appreciated.
