Buy it, I wouldn't have to do that !
Today, the only standard respected by almost all vendors is the "entry level sql 2", written in 1992.
Write code that respects these features should ensure to get a portable code.
But what are these features ?
Perhaps that I could find it in this book to buy, but it is surprising that nobody has already use them ...
    Thx,
    JR

All major database vendors say that they comply with SQL-92.

I have not seen a complete list of things that make up SQL-92 in any book or white paper.

I think it may not be a simple list, it could be a volume of documents published by ANSI.

Vendors declare "entry level compliance", as there are three levels in the SQL 2 standard, perhaps that the entry basic level is not so big.
I should ask directly to Oracle ...
They did a flag (FIPS) that determines which statement is compliant or not, they certainly have a list ...
    Thx for your comments.

    Hi,
    Very good link.
For more I found explicit references to "entry level standard" in RDMS (Unisys database) documentation (take care it's a 3Mo pdf file):
    http://public.support.unisys.com/220...308160-017.pdf
    Thx for your help,
