    Where is the file

    Help !

Where is the files to hold the changes for the client configuraton (DLL name)? For example, if I change DLL from Named Pipe to TCP/IP, which files that I can check/confirm if it has been set up for TCP/IP?

    Thanks ahead of time

Yes, use the client configuration utility. But if you are the kind who craves for details, then here's some more info for you. ;-)
The client configuration utility and therefore, all things (ODBC DSN) that connect to SQL Server databases use this part of the registry for information storage and retrieval:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMICROSOFTMSSQLSERVERCLIE NTConnectTo

The names of the dll files used for your different target connections are stored in here.
    Have a nice day!
