    error 1075...

    one MSDE sp3 server's sqlAgent could not start. It comes with error 1075 and "the dependecy service does not exist or has been marked for deletion occurred"

    which could not find from knowledge base.
    any idea?

    SQLAgent is dependent on MSSQLServer agent for full SQL Server. Is there a similar service for MSDE?.

    It sounds like SQLserver service is not started.

    Yes, MSDE has MSSqlserver service and SqlServerAgent service depends on it.

    On this MSDE with SP3, SQL Server is running fine. The problem is that the sqlAgentService could not be started and with error 1075 and message with <<the dependecy service does not exist or has been marked for deletion occurred>>.

    The last option is to reinstall the whole sql msde to get sqlAgentService back if there is no other solutions.

    What's status of mssqlserver service? Started or starting or stopping? Tried reboot machine?
