Enabling Japanese on a computer - How ?
Hello
I need to enable Japanese on a machine so that it can be viewed and typed in (english keyboard though). It has english set by default. I have a problem though..........
so far i have added Japanese language to the Regional Options in the control panel and that appears to be happily ticked.
I have also added Japanese input locale via the keyboard option (text services window) and that appears to be happily installed also.
So i can now switch between English (EN) and Japanese (JP) on the task bar (bottom right of screen). I cannot however type in or view Japanese for some reason ?
I have appropriate fields set to a Japanese font in a database as well.
I had this setup some time ago but can't seem to get it setup again ?
I assume i'm missing something but do not know what it is ?
many thanks for any help
Paul

I am going to ask you inevitable question.
"Did you restart the machine?"
