    Difficult calculation...can you help me?

I have a chart that was sent to me. I'd like to know how they calculated these figures. I've tried diligently to come up with the calculation for it, but with no luck. Could you please help me? It looks like this.
    1-5 $12.50
    6 $14.30
    7 $16.10
    8 $17.90
    etc.
    35 $51.50
    36 $52.70
    100 $119.50

How can I find the calculation for this. I need to design a spreadsheet and include this calculation.
    Thank you so much.

If you like to implement this chart then you can use "Lookup".

Good example is there in Excel Help.

Will I be able to see how the chart is calculated?

    Thank you.

Search in the XL sheet for formulas.

From the above chart, is there a way that I can find out how it is calculated? If I search XL, I still don't know if the formulas are contained in the chart. How can I take a chart with information (like the above) and find out how it is calculated? Thanks so much for your help.

click on the cells and see if any calculations are behind them.

Did the spreadsheet come with any macros ? Did you disable them when you opened the sheet ? The calcualtions could easily have been done in there.

Perhaps the calculations were done in another package e.g. MSAccess and were then pasted or fed into Excel ? In which case you will not be able to see them at all.

Is it a rounding problem ?
