    Log Shipping

    I am trying to set log shipping for my SQL server but when I choose the database I want shipped it doesn't give the check box "Ship the transaction logs to other SQL Servers (Log Shipping)". However it does work for me on my local machine and in the test environments we have. Can you tell me what else could prevent it from appearing.

    For you to be able to log ship the recovery model has to be FUll or Bulk Logged.

    Check database properties in Enterprise Manager for the database.

    All the databases on this particular server are in Full recovery mode. Is there anything else that could be the problem?

    What version of sql server are you using?. I think you need dev or enterprise edition for log shipping.

    That could be the problem then. I have MS SQL server 2000 standard addition.
