primary key
I am currently working at an intership for a media company. They are running a small client server application using access 2000. The backend(tables) is on what somebody termed the server, and the frontend is(forms queries reports) is installed and linked to the 5 client computers on the hub.
I am working on a project to normalize the database. When I look at the tables in the backend, The attribute that is the primary key has value 0. Yet when I look at the linked table the primary key attribute contains values. What gives???

So? whats your question my friend.

are you sure they are the same table ? Is the backend table definitely linked to the frontend ?
Are there no records at all in the backend table ? But some in the frontend supposedly linked one ?
If so it doesn't sound as though the backend tables are linked into the frontend properly.
Have a look via the linked table manager and see if the tables are pointing to the right place ?
