Viewing contents of a SQL Server 2000 Transaction Log
Hi all,
We are running SQL Server 2000 and had an unusual event happen with our App (MTS .com) over the weekend. For approximately 45 minutes during the day the application just froze and the Transaction Log grew by 500Mb then after restarting the MTS layer everything ran well.
Is there anyway or tool that I could use to identify what was hitting the database (only access to the DB is through the application) ?
Thanks in advance

If you have transaction log backed up you can use log explorer from lumigent.com to browse through the log.
Transaction log growth indicates that you had a large transaction and/or your transaction log backup failed.

when it was frozen, did you try running sql profiler?
run profiler once in a while to catch all the hits on sql server.
