    what is differnet .....between...
    DB2 Everplace
    MYSQL
    MS SQL Server 2000
    Oracle9i
    PostgreSQL
    each on of details ..

    All are database engine. All are RDBMS.

    DB2 from IBM
    Oracle9i from Oracle
    SQL Server from Microsoft
    MySQL from MySQL AB

    Some are expensive and some are not. some have more features than others

    Differences is only in features.

    every company's website has its own comparison with other company's software.

    yes,
    this is what we call features or extensions to the ANSI standard. most if not all RDBMS say they are compliant to ANSI standards but also brag about their ability to go above and beyond the standard.
