SQL 2000 security
Can anyone help or advise on the following: -
1) setting the number of login attempts and locking a sql login
2) Setting a SQL login to be only valid against a given Ip address.
thx

You can't do it directly from SQL Server
1. You can change the property of sql server to use Windows authentication only, this way lock out is managed by Windows.
2. You can set property of the login ID in Windows to restrict the workstation. Again you have to use Windows security at SQL Server level.
