    I'm not sure why I get blank owners either but I'm connecting using Windows NT Authentication, same method I'm using for the 2000 box. If you also use NT Authentication, are you creating DTS packages and executing them in VB?

    I've created DTS packages as vb files in order to create .exe files that execute packages. I've not had any problems I can recall. Is your 7.0 EM client win 9x per chance? That might explain the blank owners.
