    Exclamation Database Password doesn't work

    I'm developing an ASP application with access 2000 database. I created a new mdw file and used the user security wizard. When I upload both the mdb and mdw file in my server, password protection works fine. The problem is that if someone downloads my mdb file in another computer, the password protection is gone and you can see all the data in it. I have customer information in this database I don't want anyone to see, so I'm in trouble here. Can anyone help me with this problem?

    try this

    You will need to remove the Administrator permissions from the database. If you are using the default workgroup as your mdw someone can just log on as admin and have access to everything. You may want to make a unique workgroup and set the shortcut for the database to use it.
