    Question Can't launch Database Configuration Assistant

    I installed Oracle 8i on Windows 2000. Everything else works fine. But I can't lauch Database Configuration Assistant.
    Any suggestions?

    Just nothing happened

    I didn't get any error message. Nothing happened!

    Can you run any other program in Oracle group?.

    Check the exe name and parameter (if any) for it and try to run it from Run menu.

    I have seen such strange behaviour on NT machine before. It had something to do with OS getting messed up, we had to reinstall service pack.

    Yes, everything else running except this one

    Except Database configuration assistant, everything else is running well.

    i'm having the same problem, I re-installed my windows xp SP2 entirely and it worked . and i forgot to tell you that something was wrong with MSVCR0017.dll ....
