I've designed a website which uses several Filemaker databases with Lasso code, but the hosting options are limited and relatively expensive.

Can anyone advise me on some cheaper options for a new site?

It seems that MySQL and PHP are common, but I haven't got a clue where I should begin! What development tools do I need given that I'm Mac-based?
