    ASP-DB on virtual server

    Hi there,

Have a problem where one of our clients wishes us to set up a web site hosted by a virtual server provider like Adgrfix or Interland. At this stage they would like a "virtual server" not a "Dedicated Server" but they would like us to use ASP-DB product to simplify the code for them to try and maintain at a later date.

    1) no access to system32 dir on virtual hosted NT server... the hosting people do not want to register the DLL files etc. They can do the whole asp support thing and cold fusion etc. but a nice user friendly programme like ASP-db pro is a no go.

    2) Client does not want to pay for a dedicated server....but want's ASP-DB

PLEASE is there any possible way around this?

    any help would be appeciated.

    Rodney,

The perfect solution is to host the app with a provider that is capable in providing such a support like INNERHOST. ASP-db has provider support buil-in such that obly padi customers are can activate the DLL. So it is rather user friendly. If you cannort switch provider the you have to paid th eprice and use whatever they provide. In my opinion, these days are gone, customers are usually calling the shot snow.
