    creating aduplicate record

I have a user who would like to use an existing record to create a duplicate record. Any suggestions on how best to approach this in ASPdb Pro? I would need to be able to create the new record with most fields copied from the original and end up in Form mode to complete the entry.

    Thanks,
    Jim

    creating aduplicate record (reply)

    Hi Jim,

Have you tried using the EDIT button? It has a COPY button on it that does EXACTLY what you're asking for! Just click the COPY button, and it'll copy all the field from the current record to a new one. Then just change whichever fields you wish to and click the ADD NEW RECORD button to save it!

    Hope this helps,
    John
