    small permissions question

    Hello,
I'd like to confirm something regarding SQL Server account permissions. Is the NT domain admin also a member of the sysadmin role on the local server running SQL Server 7.0 on an NT 4.0 platform?
    Thank you

By default, local nt admins are member of sysadmin. If your domain admins are member of local admin, yes.

As discussed in the previous post ... yes.

The local Administrators group *is* granted full access. If you do NOT want this then you can remove the Domain Admins global group from this local group ... after ensuring you have added somebody else to the group!
