    SQL SERVER 7.0

What is the maximum size of a Database (in tera bytes), that a

single SQL Server can accommodate without any fuss?

Tough question. My concern about the posted database size capacity of 1+million terrabytes for SQL 7.0 is the lack of performance data at this time. Once someone actually tests SQL 7's OLAP and Data Warehousing performance ratings, then we'll know how much it can TRULY handle in real time.

Someone told me about a limit of 200-300 gigs was when he noticed big performance degradation. Since a lot of factors could influence one's perceptions, I would still hold off until we hear something official from an independent testing site. Hope we'll all get something soon!
