    Multiple Databases sharing device

Does 7.0 allow multiple databases to share a data file/log file?
Will a large data device file shared by 10-25 databases present any problems?

    Thanks

Keep in mind that in SQL 7, there are no more devices. Each database has its own physical file on disk.

    Thanks

During migration to SQL Server 7.0, how are multiple databases sharing a device converted to files? If the shared device is 3.5GB will I need
3.5GB of free space to convert. Should I replace the big device with many little devices to facilitate conversion?

    Thanks
