Do you mean transaction log? Dump it by 'backup transaction db_name ... with truncate_only'.

well i tried that but it still give me the same error that "that that db is full and to back up in order to free up some space "
problem is that when i look at the log files space it is more then half empty and we can't seem to wrap around till it gets backed up. I guess we are stuck until the guy incharge of backing up gets back. .....
