Using DTS to go from Access to Excel???

I have a mdb file. I would like to export some of the tables in the mdb file to Excel using DTS. Is this possible??? If so can you give me some clues.

    Thanks in Advance!

It hangs everytime I try this. I have the access file locally.

If you want to run it as a scheduled job, the MDB file will have to accessibile to the server and you must be careful not to use mapped drives (use UNC references to machines, directories, etc. e.g. \MYSERVERMyDirectoryMyFilename.MDB).

I don't know exactly what you need to do, it might just be simpler writing a macro in Access for the export and then running Access with the macro as a job step (look up "command line" in the online help).

Anyway, I don't see why it shouldn't work with DTS.
