Changing the character set in appliation level

Hi,

Db2 document says that we can alter the character set (ASCII to EBCDIC or Some other char set at db level (by recreating the db again). Also the user can able to change the character set application level.

Is it possible change the character set using query level or any other way in JDBC application level?

Please kindly update us if you find soultion.
