2 category fields chart

I have a chart with 2 category fields dropped into the x axis (Year and Time).
In the layout view below the x axis of chart is:
|______________ Group 1_____________________| on left and
|______________ Group 2_____________________| on right.

Similar to chart on:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa964128.aspx

This is how I need to display, i.e. Year 1 data to left
and Year 2 data to right both sharing same Y axis.
But when I preview the data Group 1 (2007) is on one chart
and Group 2 (2008) is on a seperate chart.
Anyone know what I've done wrong?

I know this might sound weird, but are you using the same Chart data region for each year? If so, is the chart perhaps overflowing the page, and, therefore, reproducing itself on a second rendition of the same data region?

Get back to me here, and I'm sure we can get you past this one ...

I managed to find the solution. I had the chart area inside a list, once I moved it out it behaved as it should.
