Control codes not being evaluated by Access reports

Hi,

I have a problem, can someone help.

I'm using Access to establish a ODBC connection to a Oracle database.

Many of the fields held in the database contain text, this text also contains controls codes like tab, carriage return and linefeed.

When I generate reports (in Access) using these fields, the control codes are not evaluated at all, they show up in the report as square boxes. As you can imagine the formatting of the text is all wrong and very difficult to read the text.

I need a way of making Access reports correctly evaluate the control codes or a way of bypassing the reporting system. Are there API's that could help.


Is this a Access or a Oracle thing.?
