    transaction log size

This isin continuation with my previous query. If i cannot reduce th T Log size , how can i stop it from increasing further. Can i make secondary log files which can be deleted later on?

    1. you can reduce Tlog log size. checkpoint, dbcc shrinkfile
    2. you can put a limit on tranlog growth
    3. yes you can delete a secondary log - after emptying it. (dbcc srinkfile emptyfile)

If you want to you can change the database recovery model to Simple and SQL Server will take care of trucating the log.

You can also set the option Auto Shrink to ON.

But doing these is not recommended on a production database.
