    I/O Error 23

    Hello,

    Anyone received this error and know how to recover?

    I/O error 23(Data error (cyclic redundancy check)) detected during read of BUF pointer = 0x11b61480, page ptr = 0x14484000, pageid = (0x1:0x22ac), dbid = 7, status = 0x801, file = d:mssql7datadb1_data.mdf

    Restore from backups ....

    If it happens again I would check your hardware. Have you a good UPS? If you have write-backing disk cache you may want to disable it.
