    Replicating from 7.0 to 6.5

I need to replicate from a SQL 7.0 server to SQL 6.5 server.
Has anyone done it, or does anyone know if it can be done?

    Thanks in advance

You will need to setup the 6.5 machine as a Remote Server. Then, you must enable it under the "Configure Publishers and Subscribers" menu option. Then you can push your publication to it.

Documenation is pretty good in the online books.

Yes, it can be done, though it's not thoroughly documented anywhere except for BOL. Look under the Replication section, there are a couple of pages which talk about this. I have not actually tried using replication, but I have used the Data Transformation Services to copy data back and forth between SQL 6.5 and SQL 7.0 and it works really well. Actually, you might want to try DTS first because once replication is set up on SQL 6.5 it's difficult to get rid of without a special script, and it's not easy to make changes to.
