Help creating a database

Hello. I'm new to creating a database from scratch. Our site currently uses a mysql database for our PHPnuke, and i'd like to create a separate database for each of our 'visual guides'. Here is what I'm looking to do:

I'd like to make a search feature on our site (we are a star wars collectible site) so that when someone searches for a name, it will pull all visual guides in the search paramenters. The list it makes would be each visual guide, and the guide it is located in. The guide would be a link that they could click on and the guide would pop open. So, on for example, on this page:

http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/vintagepics/

it would pull the exact same link as you see here, only it would list the item(s) they searched for. I'm assuming i'd just make database fields that I would fill out, but i'm not sure how I would make the linking possible. Any ideas?
