    Hi experts

    i am new to oracle. i just want to know abt how to connect database through sql*plus

    what is sys as sysdba
    and what is sysoper

    and why we connected as sysdba
    pls compare with some other and reply me pls
    i am totally confuse abt it

    sysdba gives you highest privilege in database, sysoper has lower privilege than sysdba.
